it lives in a cave, probably in some type of mine shaft or mountainous area. since it is still very young it’s body can’t handle the harshness of a dryer environment now, like amphibians it has moist skin- only instead of keeping it from drying out it’s an oily substance that keeps it’s tail flame alight. it’s flame is what it uses to attract prey, so I would imagine it’s pretty creature, he needs to stay amphibious in order for the parasitic bulb on it’s back to absorb enough moisture to mature. instead of having a prehensile tongue, the bulb on it’s back has two insect
